Orchestra Audition Information

Saturday, September 9th at 10 am at Star City Ballet Studio
1005 Industry Ave. SE Building 7A

TO PREPARE FOR THE AUDITION:

Please prepare all major scales – minimum of two octaves.
Please prepare the overture for The Nutcracker. Parts are found at this free imslp link:

1. Click the ‘Parts’ tab
2. Click on your part (Violin’s prepare Violin II)
3. The download will continue in 15 seconds
4. Click to the pdf download and download the part
5. Excerpts from the Overture will be requested at the audition

A short sight-reading excerpt will also be performed in the audition.
