Sponsorship Opportunities

For Season 33
General contributions throughout the year always go toward school programs and our ongoing outreach in the community, as well as world-class training and pop-up performances. You may make your gift toward best general use, or to one of the specific purposes below.

1. Mainstage Season Performance Sponsorships
(Corporate Sponsorships and Individual Donations )

One of the best ways to support the Ballet in our region is through an annual sponsorship. Your donation supports our award-winning productions on stage at the Berglund Performing Arts Theatre, home of Southwest Virginia Ballet. Sponsorships can be arranged through in-kind donations and other methods of support, as well.

One of the ways we use your donation is to secure tickets to our performances for local and regional public school audiences. This year, we are inviting more than 2,000 kids to experience The Nutcracker with live orchestra!

Grand Waltz: $25,000+
Grand Jete: $20,000 – $24,999
Petit Jete: $10,000 – $19,999
Adagio: $5,000 – $9,999
Releve: $2,500 – $4,999
Plie: $1,000 – $2,499

(Donations of any size to support the formation and continued presence of the Orchestra of Virginia’s Blue Ridge)

Funding for the Orchestra ensures we can feature live musical accompaniment for our performances going forward. We are hoping to secure funding for the next five years of orchestral accompaniment (ten Mainstage productions.)

THANK YOU to our anchor orchestra sponsor, Virginia’s Blue Ridge. VBR’s support has secured the orchestra for The Nutcracker but we need YOUR HELP to fully fund it.

SVB Backstage

SVB Backstage is a devoted group of members who believe in the importance of supporting the dancers of Southwest Virginia Ballet through volunteerism and fundraising. The fundraising allows SVB to furnish dancers with performance shoes, company dance wear and costumes FREE of charge. Backstage also provides funds for merit and need based scholarships for Roanoke Valley dancers.

Current fundraisers include:

  • The Ballet Boutique, available at all major SVB performances – the boutique is stocked full of tutus, crowns, nutcrackers, handmade jewelry, t-shirts and more.
  • The annual Gala, this year in Spring 2024, is an evening of fun, silent auction, food, drinks and dancing for the 21 and older crowd.

Backstage Volunteers

Volunteers are an integral part of SVB’s success. They are a diverse and dynamic group who are dedicated to promoting the art of dance in the Roanoke Valley.

One important thing they all share is the sense of satisfaction that comes from volunteering their time and talents. Among the many tasks our volunteers perform are set design and construction, costume construction and alterations, publicity and marketing, boutique sales, and backstage production management.

If you would like to join us, please email us at info@svballet.org.

SVB Ballet Boutique

The Ballet Boutique sells handcrafted tutus, SVB t-shirts and other items to raise money for SVB performance expenses and scholarships. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the ballet. Our one-of-a-kind tutus are available at the Jr. League’s annual Stocked Market and at the boutique table at any SVB performance.
