• School children and nursing home residents a discounted performance of the spring and fall productions making the performance arts experience available to all ages, from all walks of life.

With your help, your generous, tax deductible gift could fund one or more of these items:

• $100 will buy new hats for children in the soldier scene of Nutcracker.
  
• $200 will pay for studio rent for one month.
  
• $300 will provide a scholarship to summer intensive dance camp.
  
• $1,500 buys one pair of ballet or point shoes for each dancer.
  
• $3,000 sponsors guest artist, choreography, or an instructor.
  
• $4,000 for lighting and technical crews.
  
• $12,000 will provide free production attendance for 2,000 school children.
  
• $18,000 will underwrite an entire spring production such as Firebird or Coppelia.

Nutcracker School Sponsorship Program

Southwest Virginia Ballet is seeking sponsors for area elementary students to attend the school Nutcracker performance. This effort aims to ensure that every child in the Roanoke Valley will be introduced to professional level dance, performing arts, and the most well known and beloved story ballet of all times. A tax deductible donation of $1,000 will enable an entire grade to see the show. There are dozens of Title I schools in our area that cannot afford to attend without assistance. Support the elementary school of your choice.
