Friends of Backstage
SVB Backstage is a devoted group of members who believe in the importance of supporting the dancers of Southwest Virginia Ballet through volunteerism and fund-raising.
The Ballet Boutique, the Nutcracker Ball and Virginia Diner sales enable SVB to furnish dancers with performance shoes, company dance wear and costumes free of charge. Backstage also provides funds for merit and need based scholarships for Roanoke Valley dancers.
Volunteers construct sets, sew costumes, maintain order backstage, make tutus and other ballet items to sell at performances...in short they make SVB possible.
You can help by joining "Friends of Backstage"
For a $25 annual membership you will:
- be recognized in SVB performance programs
- receive invitations to special events
- receive SVB newsletters
- have a chance to win free tickets to performances
- support the Southwest Virginia Ballet
